Fixing the bugs of the oil industry by proposing to replace soybeans with soybean meal in the petroleum barter list
Mr. Mehrshad Maleki, an Activists of Grain and Feed Industry

Substitution of soybean import has been one of the effective proposals of the Iran Grains Union, because in addition to supporting oil extraction factories and domestic production, it will increase the employment and growth of this industry.
On the other hand, in the past years, the lack of timely allocation of currency to oilseeds as the raw material of oil mills, as well as the removal of government tariffs for the products of these mills to import oil, caused problems in the production of soybean meal for livestock and poultry and the price of this product will increase many times and have a direct effect on the production products such as meat, chicken and eggs.
The livestock and poultry industry is one of the most important industries in the country, which has a significant contribution to the food supply of the people, therefore, paying attention to removing the import barriers of this industry will greatly contribute to the country’s food security. Paying special attention to this industry will prevent the resulting inflation in final goods such as chicken and meat and its products. Also, the increase in the government’s share of the import of livestock and poultry inputs has made private companies unable to import according to their abilities and resources and help the circulation of this industry. Therefore, the new government should give more work space to smaller companies to import livestock inputs so that the lack of supply does not increase the price of goods such as soybean meal.
Substitution of soybean import has been one of the effective proposals of the Iran Grains Union, because in addition to supporting oil extraction factories and domestic production, it will increase the employment and growth of this industry.
