Anzali Port: Northern Logistics Hub Boosting Grain and Oil Imports

During the first eight months of this year, more than 2,982,000 tons of grain entered the country from northern ports, of which 514,544 tons, equivalent to 17 percent, were unloaded through Anzali Port, which accounts for three percent of the country’s total grain imports.

More than 107,000 tons of crude edible oil unloaded at Anzali Port

Mr. Younesi also stated regarding the import of crude edible oil: Of the total 671,596 tons imported from northern ports, 107,646 tons, or 16 percent, were unloaded at Anzali Port, which constitutes eight percent of the country’s total crude oil imports.

Grain storage capacity has increased from 116,750 tons in 2015 to 208,150 tons in 2021, representing a growth of 78%. In the coming years, the capacity of silos will reach 234,000 tons and warehouses will reach 135,000 tons.
