The first rank of Iranian confectioners in overseas competitions
Mr. Ali Bahrehmand, Head of the Tehran Confectioners' Union

According to statistics, the demand for sweets in 2023 decreased by 40% compared to last year. Because with the removal of the governmental currency from the import of raw materials needed to prepare sweets such as flour, sugar and oil, the finished price of confectionery products increased significantly, and this caused a decrease in demand and a decrease in the production of sweets.
Attending overseas competitions and winning first place among 48 countries, participating in the confectionary exhibition of Tunisia, the visit of about 60 confectionary colleagues to the IBA exhibition and the national confectionary day program and honoring the lasting and successful faces of the industry are among the most important events of the confectionary industry in 2023.
