Kazakhstan’s grain exports increase by 45%

Kazakhstan transported 3.7 million tons of freshly harvested grain via rail in the fall of 2024, a 45% increase compared to the same period in 2023, indicating an increase in grain exports from Kazakhstan. Meanwhile, grain exports from the port of Aktau to Iran increased from 14,000 tons in 2023 to 435,000 tons in 2024 during the same period.

In total, 10.6 million tons of grain were transported on Kazakhstan’s railways in 2024, accounting for 8.1 million tons of this export volume. These figures also indicate the significant volume of grain production and export in the country. Kazakhstan’s grain exports to China in 2024 exceeded 1.5 million tons.
