- Alipoor, head of the Agriculture Ring in Iran Mercantile Exchange: The wheat for the bakeries and different industries which was in the mercantile exchange since last year and was gaining a good market among the industry, was removed from the mercantile exchange.
- Head of the Industrial Bread Producers of Iran Union: In addition to the shortage of the needed wheat for the bakeries and different industries in the market, this commodity has recently been sold via a system which is causing even more problems for the producers. There is a need for some readjustments in this system.
- Building 5 km of private rail from Kordan station to Persia station and also 3 other lines with the total length of 1500 meters in the Persia station, enables this station to load and discharge grains at the same time. The first train arrived in this station from Bandar Abbas delivering silo equipment.
- Habib Shafiee, PhD in International Relations and Banking: The European Union is a good example of interdependence, which in a way erases the borders between the European countries and creates the possibility of trade for different products of these countries. On the other hand, this common interest between the countries prevents them from having disputes and wars, because their economical and trading positions would suffer.
- Mohammad Javad Zareyian, Faculty Member of Water Research Institute: The experience in water management in the world indicates the focus on harmonizing the supply and demand of water which includes the correct usage of water in agriculture, industrial and daily use. However, in Iran the policy has always been the increase in the supply regardless of the shortage in different parts of the country. These shortages are being answered only by increasing the supply and redirecting water to the places that need it, however, this is not a long term solution.
- Eshaq Jahangiri, First Vice President of Iran in Aminol Zarb Ceremony described Iran’s situation as going through a difficult winter and mentioned that the sanctions imposed by the US is not supported by logic and this difficult situation would pass in near future.
- The fifth meeting for celebrating the best of food industry in Iran was held on 29th of January 2019 in Tehran. Different companies in 8 categories of dairy, drinks, pasta, bread, spices and dried herbs, sweets and chocolate, tea, saffron and packaged foods were recognized as the best producers of 2018-2019.
- Reza Eftekharedin, Member of the Board in the Feed Union of Iran: Allocating the USD with the Central Bank of Iran price for importing feed, should be monitored and supervised carefully so that the feed would get to those producers who really need it. The second phase of Atlas system would be operational in the second quarter of 2019 in order to eliminate the brokers in the supply chain.
