Feed Price Fluctuations Impact Industrial Milk Powder Production at Delva Dairy Products Company

Mr. Farhad Banaei , CEO of Delva Dairy Products Company

The milk powder industry in Iran faces numerous challenges, including fluctuations in feed prices and rising production costs. Delva Dairy, under the “Charva” brand, has been producing industrial milk powder and animal butter since 2023, addressing these issues through sustainable supply chain contracts.

Dr. Binaei, the CEO of the company, pointed out that rising raw milk prices and feed quality directly impact both the cost and quality of production. With an annual production of around 250,000 tons of milk powder, Iran is primarily an exporter of this product to countries like Iraq and Pakistan, making milk powder imports unnecessary.

Rising raw milk prices and currency fluctuations may affect the milk powder market, but ultimately, exports of butter and fat to target markets like Russia will make milk powder production more economically attractive.
