Green light to the liberalization of wheat by the guild and industry in 2026

Regarding the possibility of liberalizing the price of guild and industrial wheat for next year, this issue was foreseen as a legal obligation in the 2025 budget. In May of the current year, the government approved that the price of guild and industrial wheat should be offered exactly at the finished price, but after about a week, this resolution was amended and pasta was exempted from this rule; a decision that, from the perspective of industry activists, was not the right move.

This is despite the fact that the pasta industry has always stated that it was not seeking to receive subsidized wheat. Given the events this year regarding the elimination of preferential currency, it seems that the necessary platform has been provided for correcting the price of wheat for the guild and industry and supplying it at the real and finished rate next year.
