Seyed Morteza Sanadi-Zadeh, CEO of Javaneh Shushtar Flour, discussed strategies for enhancing the resilience of flour mills amid economic and political challenges at the IranGreen Food Security & Resilience Panel. He highlighted that managing operational and non-operational costs, improving automation, optimizing overhead, and expanding production capacity are key measures.
Sanadi-Zadeh emphasized proper storage and maintenance of raw materials, precise selection of wheat, and adherence to production capacity limits to prevent quality loss and operational disruptions. He also suggested leveraging technical services for additional revenue and obtaining financing from banks with interest rates below inflation.
Efficient use of local transport, targeted marketing, and designing machinery based on wheat type and capacity were identified as critical factors to maintain profitability, operational efficiency, and food security in the flour industry.
