Global Credibility for Iranian Suppliers
Mr. Behnam Khatami, CEO of Nami Partners Law Firm

The return of sanctions and the activation of the trigger mechanism (snapback) are not the only issues of concern for activists in this field. What is currently the main concern of companies importing grains and basic commodities is over-compliance and, as a result, the increased complexity of contractual clauses, the difficulty of cooperating with foreign parties, and the decline in the credibility of Iranian partners in the international arena due to banking problems.
Khatami considered one of the effective solutions for managing contractual risks to be empowering Iranian transnational companies and added: Iranian companies should be empowered to obtain credit from international banks, or to provide collateral outside Iran. Such tools will directly increase the credibility of the Iranian side with foreign vendors and manage the associated risks for them, which will ultimately increase the attractiveness of trade contracts and sustain business relationships.
