The number of corn clearances in the first six months of this year was about 5.18 million tons, which is only 180,000 tons more than the same period last year, while given the current conditions, a greater increase was expected.
Wrong decisions at the beginning of the year caused the amount of imports in the months of April to August to be lower than last year, which fueled the market’s inflammation.
Fortunately, with the efforts made, about 500,000 tons of corn have entered the country from Russia and been unloaded at the northern ports. Currently, the capacity of these ports is full, and we are coordinating to provide maximum supply of these shipments in the market system to supply livestock and poultry farmers.
