With a 12.4% increase in the price of pasta, the new price of 700 grams of regular pasta has been set at Rls. 270,000/-.
Considering that what has been heard indicates the possibility of setting a rate of Rls. 195,000 for the guaranteed purchase of wheat in 2024-25. Therefore, during the meetings that the Iran’s Society of Pasta Producers & Exporters will have with the Minister of Jihad Agriculture, the Minister of Industry, Mining and Trade and Consumer Protection Organization, the society warned the trade and industry about the price shock in wheat for the new year, because the price of wheat in the new year will be close to Rls. 220,000 with the associated costs. It is about 83% away from the price of industrial wheat of Rls. 120,000. Hence, before the new year, the wheat price of the trade and industry should be revised in order to prevent the price gap of the product in the next year and not to repeat the story of the change in the price of pasta in 2021.
