In many contracts, items such as the reference for determining quality (origin or destination), permissible limits of humidity and contamination, sampling method, and storage conditions of samples are not precisely mentioned; while these clauses play a decisive role in resolving disputes.
Therefore, it is recommended that the sampling reference be specified in contracts in accordance with GAFTA and the Iranian National Standard, that the permissible limits of quality parameters be stated numerically, and that the responsibility for quality changes during long storage periods be clearly divided between the buyer and the seller.
