Malek, CEO of Mana Food Industries: Since the price of the durum wheat in Iran is almost the same as the soft wheat for the farmers, The Ministry of Agriculture has proposed to The Pasta Producers Association to sign an agreement with GTC and choose two provinces in order to have talks with the farmers and increase the production of the durum wheat in Iran. The price of the durum wheat would be around 10% more than the soft wheat for buying it from the farmers.

body and let the bakers and other customers to be able to buy what they need according to the price that suits them. • Paydar, CEO of Yazd GTC: Regarding the purchase of 7500 MT wheat from the farmers in Yazd Province last year, in the current year the purchase has just been 3000 MT so far which means that the farmers are holding into the wheat because of the rumors around the increase in the wheat price.
• Kermanshahani, CEO of Arian Food Industries: Monitoring the grain industry is a must, on the other hand, allocating subsidies for grains needs the government’s constant supervision. The more we want to be self-sufficient in producing wheat, the more we need to balance the price in Iran with the other neighboring countries.
• Ibrahimi, Member of the Agriculture Commission in the Islamic Consultative Assembly: The decision of the authorities to transfer the GTC under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture is not according to the law. This transfer would be a step backward in the economic
point of view. Two months have passed and we have not seen any positive changes after the transfer has been made.
• Teymoor Rahmani, Faculty Member in University of Tehran: The continuous inflammation for a very long time works like a super inflammation in a short period of time. Therefore, when the super inflammation makes some zeroes to be deleted from the currency of the country, the long-term one would do the same and it is inevitable. The claim that Iran has not been experiencing a super inflammation is not a legitimate one.
