Why has export risk increased in recent years?

Mr. Aghazadeh, Director of Information Technology and Cybersecurity, Export Guarantee Fund of Iran
Currency hedging instruments in the country have not yet reached an acceptable level.
The lack of active currency derivatives markets and standardized international instruments has left exporters vulnerable to severe exchange rate fluctuations, an issue that is more challenging for small and medium-sized enterprises with limited profit margins.
The main problem with Iranian exports is not a lack of production capacity, but rather a weakness in export support structures; an issue that has caused export activity to become a short-term and reactive measure rather than a strategic and long-term one.
