Demand of 400 Million Euros by the Vegetable Oil Industry from the Government

Last year, more than 1,600,000 tons of crude oil, including 800,000 tons of sunflower oil, more than 500,000 tons of palm oil, 250,000 tons of soybean oil, and 40,000 tons of rapeseed oil, were imported into the country.

 

He continued: Despite the government’s extensive support for the vegetable oil industry, unfortunately, this industry faces extensive challenges in the field of providing and allocating currency. Currently, the vegetable oil industry has about 400 million euros in foreign currency claims from the government for the oils that have been imported and cleared and mostly consumed.
