Referring to the remarkable performance in unloading various imported goods, the Director General of Ports and Maritime Affairs of Khuzestan Province said: More than 19.226 million tons of basic, mineral, chemical and miscellaneous imported goods have been unloaded in this port, which has enjoyed a 9 percent growth compared to the same period last year.
He also pointed to significant growth in the evacuation of basic goods, and added: During this period, the evacuation of basic goods has increased by 9 percent to 15 million tons.
According to this report, in the field of mineral goods, we have witnessed the unloading and loading of more than 4.617 million tons of goods, which represents a growth of 4% compared to the same period last year.
The Director General finally pointed to the significant growth in the container sector and said: Unloading and loading of containerized goods has increased by 30 percent to 87,611 TEU, which indicates the dynamism of this sector in the Imam Khomeini Port Special Economic Zone.
