Export of 5 billion dollars of Iran’s food industry in 2023

According to the announcement of The Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), the amount of export of food and agricultural products of the country, compared to the total export of 44,890,125,000/- billion dollars of the country, was nearly 12.5%, which shows the importance of our country in the production and export of agricultural and food products.
The export volume of the food industry has increased by 15-20%, and its value has reached 5 billion dollars. If conditions are provided for the private sector in the food industry, we can see a 50% growth in the country’s food industry exports.
Currency allocation is the most important challenge of the country’s food industry, which has affected many industries in the country, because the central bank does not allocate the necessary currency to different industries of the country. Also, the activities of the food industry are struggling with various challenges to provide working capital, one of which is taking a bank loan that either has a high interest rate or is not allocated on time
