Zar Fructose and liquid sugar in Iran

  • Nutritionists are concerned about excessive consumption of white bread in Iran. There are almost 10 million diabetes patients in Iran and experts believe that one of the main reasons for diabetes and osteoporosis is using too much white flour and lack of information about the modern ways for baking bread.
  • Head of Iran-Turkey Chamber of Commerce: Iran-Turkey trade program is going to get to 30 billion dollars. From all the 13 billion dollars trade between these two countries, about 9 billion dollars is in oil-related products.
  • Head of Alborz Province’s Institute of Standard and Industrial Research: Flour mills should get a standard for feed bran. This standard is mandatory and many of Iran’s flour mills have not got it yet.
  • 15th Iran International Confectionary Fair was held 13-16 September in Tehran International Permanent Fairground. 22 countries participated in this fair. Iran’s foreign currency income in sweets and chocolate section is about 40 million dollars and it could get to 500 million dollars in future.
  • Tak Makaron, as one of the famous Iranian brands, has begun to produce enriched pasta. Different types of spaghetti and macaroni contain Zinc, Anti-Oxidants, Fiber, Omega-3 and Probiotic.
  • Ard Daran’s third line (Line C) was opened by Swiss Ambassador to Iran. This flour mill can produce 1200 tons of flour using 3 lines with Buhler technology per day.
  • Iran produces 30 to 40 million tons of stevia; however, this sweetener cannot be industrially processed in Iran.
  • Zar Fructose is going to be one of the biggest suppliers of liquid sugar in Iran. This plant is able to refine 4000 cubic meters of industrial waste. Zar Fructose is planning to install silos with 4 million tons of capacity.
  • According to the manager of Anzali port, the installed silos in this port are not enough for the grain storage demand. This is an important issue regarding grain trade development.
  • Last year, 48 confectioners from Iran visited IBA Trade Fair in Germany. This visit have had an enormous impact on the quality and innovation of their products.
  • According to Grain Research Institute of Iran, flour mills do not pay enough attention to the moisture content in their products. During summer, because of the evaporation factor, flour mills meet the standards. At the moment, this institute do not watch the exported flour and it only checks the flour which is distributed in Iran.
  • Buhler’s new CombiMill is for processing whole-wheat flour for Iranian flatbreads, dark and standard flours. Customers benefit from increased flexibility in production.
  • NC Macaron is the biggest producer of pottage macaroni in the Middle East. This company is exporting to Europe, North America, Australia and New Zealand.
  • Imam Khomeini Port’s silo with 364000 tons capacity is completed in the first phase by Cordoba technology. Cordoba guarantees 10 times more silo durability with the new Zn=450 alloy.
