The initiative of the Ministry of Agriculture Jihad in diversifying the purchase from corn sellers
Mr. Yashar Gharibi, Grain Market Analyst and Representative of Ozk and Granolux in Iran

Most importers complain about unloading conditions and storage restrictions. Also, some sellers, both in the Caspian Sea and in the Persian Gulf, do not issue permission for the ship to dock before settlement. Therefore, in the north and south, the ships are waiting in line longer. On the other hand, due to the lack of labor and being far from warehouses, it is sometimes necessary to form internal transportation in ports, and all these factors have caused the speed of unloading goods in ports to decrease.
From the buyer’s and seller’s point of view, in today’s market, the variety of supply sources and the variety of purchasing markets should be considered. In a situation where the risk of market price changes due to sanctions and various factors is present, diversity in the import debate can largely prevent possible risks and risks in the context of the lack of goods. For example, the Ministry of Agricultural Jihad made it possible to import corn from Georgia and Pakistan, considering the conditions of Russia, by diversifying the countries of origin in the import of corn. In fact, this type of policy gives the buyer the chance to focus on different markets. Of course, this action is fruitful when new conditions and changes are not defined for the new market, and the rules and guidelines are such that if an importer buys corn from a new country, he does not face a new challenge for its entry into Iran.
