Operation of 30,000 Ton Grain Storage Silo at Amirabad Port

Mr. Mohammadali Mousapour Gorji, Director General of Amirabad Ports and Maritime Affairs

Considering the strategic location of Amirabad Port and the vast hinterland, and as the first third-generation port in the country in attracting private sector investment, important steps have been taken during the period of operation of this port, especially since the second half of 1380s (2001-2010), to attract private sector investors in Amirabad Port, and every year we witness the conclusion of investment contracts in the form of B.O.T and B.O.O (long-term) contracts in this port.

Among the private sector investment projects that have been put into operation in Amirabad Port in 2025, we can mention the operation of a grain storage silo with a capacity of 30,000 tons, which has the ability to unload and load various types of grains simultaneously.

Also, two investment projects to construct edible oil storage tanks with a total capacity of 34,000 tons were put into operation in the first 6 months of this year with the aim of increasing storage capacity, ensuring a stable supply of essential goods (edible oil) and strengthening the supply chain. With the launch of these tanks, the total edible oil storage capacity at the port has increased significantly and reached 102,000 tons.
