At present, the government provides industrial wheat for Rls. 120,000/- per kilo to flour mills. Therefore, if the government withdraws from the supply of wheat to trade and industry, we will see a significant increase in the price of wheat, as a result of which the price of food items such as pasta, noodles, biscuits and cakes will increase dramatically.
Since the beginning of 2023, the electricity tariff of production units has grown several times, which has imposed a significant cost on flour factories. We request the authorities to either increase the price of flour or exempt the flour industry from the multiple growth of energy tariffs.
