Through phased investments in automation and modern poultry housing, the company plans to increase its production capacity to approximately 1.4 million laying hens<\/strong>, supporting higher efficiency and long-term food security.<\/p>\n

A key element of the expansion is the introduction of fully automated multi-story poultry houses and modern egg packaging facilities equipped with domestically developed technologies. The company is also replacing older production units with high-capacity smart facilities designed to improve productivity while reducing labor requirements and operating costs.<\/p>\n

Beyond poultry production, Afra Makian is investing in complementary infrastructure, including feed manufacturing and industrial poultry manure processing, as part of a broader strategy to strengthen its integrated value chain and improve operational sustainability.<\/p>\n

Despite these investments, the egg industry continues to face challenges such as regulated pricing, limited access to working capital, feed supply constraints and export restrictions.
