\"\"<\/a>According to estimates, Iran has about 100 billion cubic meters of extractable water per year, of which about 9 billion cubic meters are for drinking water and sanitary purposes, 40 billion cubic meters are allocated to rivers and wetlands as environmental rights, and finally, another 51 billion cubic meters can be consumed in agriculture and industry.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

It is by observing this ratio that it is possible to continue agricultural and industrial activities; however, currently, about 90 billion cubic meters of the country\u2019s water is allocated to these two sectors, which has led to a water crisis.<\/p>\n

Water shortages have occurred in all regions facing land subsidence, with Khorasan Razavi Province at the top of the list, which faces more than 36 billion cubic meters of water imbalance. Fars, Kerman, and Isfahan provinces are next in line.<\/p>\n

Provinces such as Tehran, East Azerbaijan, and Hamadan are also facing the crisis. The only province that has not experienced land subsidence so far is Gilan.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
