Turkey\u2019s feed mills were the largest producer of ready-made animal feed in the European Union and the eighth largest in the world last year, producing 28 million tons. The nominal capacity of Turkey\u2019s 600 feed mills is 40 million tons, but obtaining a feed mill license in the country is one of the most difficult permits, requiring several other organizations, in addition to the country\u2019s Ministry of Agriculture, to issue approval for the start of operations.<\/p>\n

Another important point is that the country, with an import of 12 million tons, considers about 43% of its livestock inputs to be dependent on foreign sources. Interestingly, the production of 2% of the country\u2019s animal feed factories is more than 100,000 tons, and the production of 4% is between 50 and 99,000 tons, and 54% of them produce less than 10,000 tons of various types of animal, poultry and aquatic feed per year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
