He asserted that Iran\u2019s self-sufficiency in wheat would continue in the coming years.<\/li>\n<li>Farshad Memarian, CEO of Tehran Bakhtar Flour, talking about Iran\u2019s standards for wheat: Because when buying the wheat from farmers, the government does not pay attention to different factors such as the gluten and index number, it gets more difficult for the buyers to get a detailed profile of the wheat they are buying.<\/li>\n<li>Forooghi, GTC\u2019s export office deputy: From January 2017, the start of selling wheat to wheat and flour traders, 270000 tons of wheat and 1000 tons of flour has been sold. From these amounts, 35000 tons has been exported to Oman and we hope to be able to export durum wheat to North African countries and Europe.<\/li>\n<li>Hossein Pour, CEO of GTC\u2019s region 4: Iran is capable of exporting wheat to Persian Gulf countries and I hope that Khoozestan\u2019s wheat would be a good choice for the buyers.<\/li>\n<li>Hossein Hadadi from Iran\u2019s Cereal Science and Technology Association: After becoming self-sufficient in producing wheat, the government should pay more attention to other important grains being used in Iran. After wheat, rice is the most consumed grain in Iran, however, we are not self-sufficient in producing it. Iran imports more than a million ton of rice every year. Maize is another grain that we import great amounts of it every year, around 4.8 million tons. Reviewing self-sufficiency schemes should be done, because with proper management, Iran is capable of producing more rice and maize.<\/li>\n<li>Prodction Manager of Taban Flour on Buhler\u2019s PesaMill: PesaMill uses a different method from roller mills in order to produce whole wheat flour. Whole wheat flour should contain 97 percent of wheat is in the wheat grain, therefore, for producing it you need very clean wheat.<\/li>\n<li>Moosavi, Deputy CEO of Buhler Iran on PesaMill: PesaMill is now used in India and some African countries and it will be offered in Iran. It is completely suitable for producing Sangak flour. The flour produced by PesaMill has great taste and smell and its shelf life regarding being whole wheat flour is noticeable.<\/li>\n<li>Sharif Nezam Mafi, CEO of Buhler Iran: Introducing PesaMill made many companies worried in the world, since they cannot compete with it. PesaMill is patented and no company could copy it.<\/li>\n<li>Ran recently exported 35000 tons of wheat to Oman. Merzad Jamshidi, Khoosheh Fars CEO bought the wheat from Iran\u2019s government and sent the shipment from Imam Khomeini Port. Asking about why Oman was chosen as the first destination for Iran\u2019s wheat, he replied: we tried to export Iran\u2019s wheat to a country which has good ties with Iran and the banking system would not be very complicated.
