The main impurity of domestic wheat

Mr. Mehrzad Jamshidi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of MENA IAOM

The main impurity of domestic wheat is from the system of transfer to grains, not the farm
One of the challenges that has always plagued flour mills is the impurity and high loss of delivered wheat, which has been less heard in the years when we have imported more wheat, which shows that domestic wheat has a higher loss. This problem is caused by organizations whose duty is to receive and transfer wheat to the grain offices of the country.

Because if you go over the field being harvested, you will see that the combine harvesters harvest the wheat without creating soil and unload it in the trucks, and maybe they have some impurity but never soil. Therefore, soil is added to this product during the storage and transportation stages of wheat.

Although we have brought the issue of soil and high loss in wheat to the attention of the government many times, this problem remains and will not be solved as long as the purchase of wheat is based on quantity and not quality. In the meantime, the construction of large and well-equipped silos by the private sector is not enough by itself to store grains safely because there is a weakness in the transmission of wheat. Therefore, the communication between the farmers and the silo holders should be direct and the transmission system should be improved.
