For the seventh month in a row CN has moved record amounts of grain, the company moved 7.76 million tonnes of grain in the third quarter of 2020.
In September, CN moved over 2.81 million tonnes of Canadian grain compared with the previous record of 2.6 million tonnes set in 2016 and 2.43 million tonnes in August, which compared with the previous record of 2.31 million tonnes set in 2014.
