Inauguration of the First 170,000-Ton Mechanized Grain Terminal at Imam Khomeini Port

Regarding the equipment and facilities of Terminal No. 4 of Imam Khomeini Port, he said: This terminal has 5 grain unloading towers with an unloading capacity of 600 tons per hour, 1,660-meter mechanized grain transfer route, grain storage bins with a total capacity of 170,000 tons, 2 60-ton weighing trucks connected to the customs system, operational capacity of 3 million tons of grain per year and equipped with a CCTV system and entry and exit control.

He pointed out the main goals of building the operational terminal of Imam Khomeini Port and said: Increasing the operational capacity of Imam Khomeini Port, reducing the operational traffic of the docks, speeding up the correct transfer of grain from the docks to the silos, optimal storage of grain in the silos and away from contamination, creating sustainable employment for the working forces in the region and reducing the cost of grain in the country are among the goals of building this grain terminal.
